Linda Jean Fearns, 68, of Hollister, passed away on Monday, October 22, 2018 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center following a brief illness. A native of Hartford, Connecticut, Linda resided in Putnam County since 1996 coming from Hollywood, Florida. She worked 10 years as an assembly worker with Motorolla. Linda enjoyed knitting, word search, watching TV and had volunteered with the Girl Scouts of America.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ambrose McKissick and Marjorie Grant McKissick, 2 brothers, James McKissick and Douglas McKissick and a sister, Judith Cormier.
Linda is survived by her husband of 47 years, Herbert Fearns of Hollister, 2 sons, Daniel Alan Fearns and Timothy Scott Fearns, both of Hollister, a daughter, Tin Marie Zambryck (Ross) of Canton, GA, a brother, Robert McKissick (Ann) of Bristol, CT, a brother-in-law, Louis Fearns of Florahome, sister-in-law, Rose Mary McKissick of Crestview, 3 grandchildren, Ryan Zambryck (Ashlee), Dylan Zambryck and Victoria as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services celebrating Linda’s life will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 26, 2018 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Bro. Ricky Bybee officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill West Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of services at 2:00 P.M.
