James Edward Sunday, 82, of East Palatka, passed from this life on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Solaris Health Care in Palatka. A native of Bay County, Florida, James served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from Titanium Enterprise where he worked as a heavy equipment operator.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lenox Sunday and Savannah Qualls Pickeron, his wife, Viola Sunday, his sisters, Lillie Lenoir and Lottie Jordan, brothers, Willie Bruce Sunday and Troy Sunday, a daughter, Tammy Renee Sunday Douglas and the mother of his children, Betty Sunday Walter.
James is survived by his children, Rick (Terri) Sunday of East Palatka, Jim (Diane) Sunday of Toms River, NJ, Vicky (Brian) Fogarty of Satsuma and Timmy Sunday of Panama City Beach, his grandchildren, Crystal Collins, Serena (Tom) Baar, Lacy Stallings, Mary Easterling, Marissa Colagrosso, Nichole Colagrosso, Kayla Sunday, Tasha (Robert) Willis, Christopher Grems and Waylon Grems, 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grands on the way.
