Miles Eugene Railing, 91, of Interlachen, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center in Palatka. Born in Pleasant Hill, Ohio, he moved to Interlachen in 1977 from Miami where he had been a long-time resident. He served honorably in the U.S. Naval Air Corp during World War II. Miles retired in 1977 as Captain of the Miami Fire Department following 26 years of service. He had also been a member of the Orange Blossom CB Club in Interlachen in past years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy O. Railing and a sister, Patt Mann.
Miles is survived by 2 sons, Gary E. Railing (Marie) and Terry D. Railing (Joyce Hinson) all of Interlachen, 4 grandchildren, Christopher Railing (Leann), Valerie Gonzalez, Brandon Railing (Tara) and Kerry Railing and 2 great-grandchildren, Gunner Gonzalez and Sawyer Gonzalez.
No services are scheduled.
