Charles Raymond Smith, 81 of Palatka, passed away unexpectedly at his home from natural causes on Thursday Nov 22,2018. A native and lifelong resident of Palatka, Charles had retired in the power house division after many years with Hudson Pulp and Paper (G.P.). He had likewise owned and operated K & S office machine repair service. Charles also enjoyed fishing and his horses.
He was preceded in death by his wife Kay H. Smith.
He is survived by 2 Sons; Stephen J. Smith and David C. Smith (Alina) both of Palatka, 4 sisters; Alice Meritt, Edna Fortner, Sylvia Sweeting and Margaret Griffin, 8 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday November 27,2018 at Palatka Memorial Gardens with Bro. Glenn Martin officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. on Monday November 26, 2018 at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka.
