Alan Terry Brooks, 55, of Palatka, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Green Cove Springs Rehabilitation and Care Center following an extended illness. A native of Biloxi, Mississippi, Alan resided in Palatka since 2006 coming from Port St. John. He was a 1985 graduate of Deland High School and had worked as a short order cook. Alan hobbies included coin collecting, pool (8 ball), darts, fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Brooks, sister, Athena Jane Brooks Santee, grandparents, Albert Brooks, Sr., Ruby Brooks, James Prestwood and Minny Prestwood.
Alan is survived by his father Albert T. Brooks, Jr. and wife Patricia, brother, Albert T. Brooks, III (Diana), brother-in-law, David Santee (Judy), aunt, Nanci Harth (Bill), uncle, Jeff Emerson, stepbrothers, Patrick Biddle (Tammy) and David Biddle, stepsister, Tracey Ammons as well as numerous cousins and step-cousins.
Services will be at 3:00 P.M. Monday, October 24, 2022 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Pastor Patrick Biddle officiating. Entombment will be at Brevard Memorial Park in Cocoa, Florida.
