Obituary for Annamay Zaccheo Cox

Annamay Zaccheo Cox, 83, of Palatka Fl, passed from this life Sunday June 5th, 2022, with her family by her side. Annamay was a native of Long Island NY.
Born in 1939 to Italian and Irish immigrants, she was the oldest of six children. Annamay moved to Fl in 1972 with her two children and a dog. She worked tirelessly in the service industry for places such as Captain Joe’s, Black Tie Lounge, Dean’s Still and later the Stagecoach. Raising two girls on her own she decided it was time for a change and went to work for and retired from PCSD as a bus driver. Along the way she acquired properties which she would rent or sell. Family was always first and her grandchildren were her joy. In her spare time she enjoyed helping others, fishing, music, drawing, and cooking. She was known for her sauce and lasagna. Annamay was a firm woman with a wonderful sense of humor, she could joke with the best of them. Preceded in death by her parents Patrick & Agnes Zaccheo, husband Gene Cox, lifelong friend and mentor Eric Wadsworth, brothers Patrick Zaccheo Jr & Bobby Zaccheo sister Penny Zaccheo. Left to cherish her memories are daughters, Jeanine Schnitter and Tammy (Jeff) Guthrie, brother, Frank Zaccheo, sister, Eileen Kenney, granddaughter, Emily Guthrie, great granddaughters, Reagan Guthrie and Anniston Reynolds. A celebration of Annamay's life will be held June 18th, 2022, from 12pm to 4pm at the Palatka Moose Lodge. All friends and family are welcome to attend.
