Anthony Stuart Lewis, Sr., 61, of Interlachen, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022, at Putnam Community Medical Center following a sudden illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Putnam County and was of the Baptist faith. Anthony was a graduate of Interlachen High School and served in the U S Navy. He had worked as a grade foreman in the road construction industry for many years. In his leisure time, Anthony enjoyed dirt racing, fishing, traveling and camping.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Annie Lewis, and brother, Steve Lewis.
He is survived by his children, Elizabeth Lewis, Anthony Lewis, Jr. (Rachel), Derek Lewis, Christian Moody and Kelsey Lewis, siblings, Jeffery Lewis (Mary Yvonne), James Lewis, Jr. (Diana) and Terry Lewis (Donna), grandchildren, Madison Branham, Mason Branham, Kacey Lewis, Austin Lewis, Connor Lewis, Kaitlyn Ward, Zoey Boswell, Paradice Boswell and Chase Gilbert as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, January 17, 2022, at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Bro. L. D. Osteen officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Palatka. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday beginning at 9:00 am until time of services.
