Obituary for Ayana Grace Belton

Ayana Grace Belton, 16, of Palatka, transitioned from this life on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at Putnam Community Medical Center in Palatka. Born in Berlin, Germany, she and her family moved to Palatka in 2006 from Berlin. Ayana had attended Palatka High School and was currently enrolled in the Adult Education Program at St. Johns River State College. Ayana was a member of the College Road Church of Christ where she had been involved in the Lads to Leaders and Leaderettes program. Among the things Ayana loved in life were listening to music, watching TV shows including The 100 and Netflix and going to Wendy’s and Taco Bell – Everyday!
Ayana is survived by her parents, Robert and Melanie Belton of Palatka, her brothers and sisters, Daryl Davis of Bradenton, Bishop Ramon Belton of Atlanta, Carleen Schwarz of Jacksonville, Denisha Belton of Crescent City, Xavier Belton, Timothy Belton, Brianna Belton, Jeremiah Belton and Isaiah Belton, all of Palatka, her maternal grandparents, Michael Peschel, Ursula Streese and Monika Karlmann as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Due to the Covid – 19 Virus, private family services will be held at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka Bro. C.L. Overturf, Jr., Bro. Cameron Meeks and Bishop Ramon Belton officiating.
A public service celebrating Ayana’s life will be announced at a later date.
Flowers may be sent to the family home or to Ayana’s memorial site both located on Pink Orchid Way in Palatka.
