Obituary for Barbara Sue Ashe

Barbara Sue Ashe, 62, of San Mateo and formerly of Bardin, passed from this life on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at home following a brief illness. A native of Gainesville, she resided in Putnam County since 2011 moving here from Riverview, Florida. Barbara had been a truck driver with MYD Trucking. She was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church in Bardin. In her leisure, Barbara enjoyed fishing and crafts.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Ashe, her mother, Bertie Lou Winters and stepfather, Roy K. Winters, her father, Sam James Clegg and a sister, Mary Lou Stokes.
Barbara is survived by 2 sons, Michael Ward (Christina) of San Mateo and Alan Ashe (Robin) of Middleboro, MA, 2 brothers, Donald James Clegg (Nancy) and Leo Frank Clegg (Reba Lynn), all of Ruskin, a sister, Sara Elizabeth Cone of Bardin, 4 grandchildren, Jessica Ward, Carletta Ward, Anthony Ashe and Ethan Ashe and a great-grandchild, Ginger Rose Wieczorek.
Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Rev. Joe Young officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of services at 2:00 P.M. Burial will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
Due to the Covid 19 guidelines and restrictions, those attending must refrain from any physical contact with others and must adhere to social distancing.
