Obituary for Betty J. Lisle

Elizabeth J. “Betty” Lisle, 94, passed from this life to her heavenly home on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, celebrating her birthday in the presence of the Lord. Betty was born in Umatilla, FL on January 12, 1927 to Frederick and LaVonne Ruggles.
Loved ones who preceded Betty to heaven were her husband of 56 years, Thomas W. Lisle, brother, James R. “Buddy” Ruggles and parents, Frederick and LaVonne Ruggles.
Elizabeth held a life-long passion and talent for landscaping and maintaining her beautiful yard, enjoying nature through her flowers and creativity. She loved to travel. She was a devoted wife and mother, giving support and love to all of her family and modeling Christian values through her steadfast faith in Jesus Christ. She loved sports, especially Florida State University football and any sport her children and grandchildren played. Betty gave all that she was to creating and maintaining a home that provided a secure and loving environment to nurture those who meant the most to her – her family.
