Bobby Lee Waters, 62, of Bardin, passed from this life on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Putnam Community Medical Center following a brief illness. Bobby was born in Lake Butler and lived most all his life in Lake Butler and in Bardin. He had worked in residential construction and at JR’s Dock & Bulkhead. He had attended Oak Hill Baptist Church in Bardin. Bobby enjoyed hunting, fishing in the Ocklawaha, reading and especially family cookouts. He was also an avid Florida Gator fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Waters of High Springs, 3 brothers, Robert L. Waters, Jr. (Mona) of Palatka, James Alton Waters of Palatka, William Percy “Blue” Waters of High Springs, 2 sisters, Mary Waters Loupe (John) of Dulac, LA and Sharon Rose Clifton (Josh) of High Springs, a step-brother, Randy Barber of Palatka, numerous nieces and nephews, several great-nieces and nephews and a great-great-niece.
Services celebrating Bobby’s life will be at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, October 11, 2020 at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka with Bro. Rudy Howard officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of services at 3:00 P.M.
