Brenda E. Ortmann, 59, of Palatka, passed from this life on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at UF Health in Gainesville from injuries received in an automobile accident. Born in Delray Beach, she attended Boca Raton Community High School and had resided in Palatka since 2018. Brenda worked as a security guard with Allied Universal. From a young age, Brenda had a love for horses and in years past had worked as a groomer with horse trainers. She also enjoyed making jewelry and was talented at artwork (painting).
Brenda is survived by her husband, Bill Ortmann, children, Joshua Ortmann (Tiexin), William Ortmann (Jenny), Cody Ortmann and June Strong, 2 brothers, Seamus Evans and Brian Evans (Linda) and several nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions and guidelines, private family services will be held at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka. Brenda’s services will also be livestreamed.
