Obituary for Carol Alicia Stockton

Carol Alicia Stockton, 70, of Palatka, passed from this life on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center following an extended illness. A native and lifelong resident of Palatka, Carol was a 1971 graduate of Palatka South High School. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing in 1994 from Jacksonville University. Carol was a registered nurse and spent most all her career at Putnam Community Medical Center and then with Haven Hospice. In her leisure time, Carol enjoyed camping with her husband Billy.
She was preceded in death by a step-son, Landon Stockton, her parents, William J. “Bill” Turnbull and Elsie Tilton Turnbull and a sister, Kathy Beasley.
Carol is survived by her husband of 29 years, Billy Stockton of Palatka, 2 daughters, Stephanie Reed of Palatka and Katie Fazio (Trey) of St. Augustine, a brother, Gene Turnbull of Zionsville, IN, a sister, Suzy Goodwin of East Palatka, 6 grandchildren, Cason Perry (Ariel), Matt Reed, Tyler McInnis, Gavin Stockton, Everhett Stockton and Nevaeh Stockton, a great-grandchild, Blake Perry, sister-in-law, Nancy Jo Southwell (Brad) of Hollister, several nieces and nephews and a very special friend, Ashley McCool.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Pastor Eddie Parcher officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
