Carolyn Cobb Barnett, 74, of Palatka, went home on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at the Bailey Center For Caring in St. Augustine. Born in Jennings, Florida, Carolyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and daughter. After serving in the US Army, she went on to become a Registered Nurse until she retired.
She was preceded by her mother, Bessie McElwain, brothers, Richard, Eddie, Beau and Walter Burnett and sisters, Faye McElwain and Trell Westberry.
Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Kenneth Wade Barnett, her daughter, Angela East, sons, Jack McGuire, Robert Barnett, Christopher Barnett and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Wesley and Kaitlyn East, Lee East and Lizabeth Stluka and Mason Anderson, as well as her great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Raylen East.
She also leaves behind her sister, Raynell English and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Carolyn’s life will be held at a later date.
