Carolyn Elkins Weigel, age 94, passed away on Monday, November 21,2022. She was married for 66 years to Walter Weigel. He was the love of her life along with her five daughters. Her love and devotion to her family set an example for her children and grandchildren to live by. Carolyn loved to cook, play bridge, entertain, travel, and spend time with her friends. She was a founding member of Christ Independent Methodist Church where she spent many hours volunteering. She passed away with a smile on her face as Jesus welcomed her home.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Weigel.
Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Sharon Bloom (Malcolm), Kathy Jones (Wesley), Fran Parker (David), Jan Stafford (Trey) and Susan Zellers (Craig) along with 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 25, 2022, at Palatka Memorial Gardens with Rev. Amos Price officiating. No public visitation is scheduled.
Memorial donations may be made to Christ Independent Methodist Church, 4078 Silver Lake Dr., Palatka, FL or to a hospice of your choice.
