Cathy Hilda Smith, 73, of Palatka, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center following an extended illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of Palatka and had worked at Hall’s in Bostwick for many years. Cathy was a member of Bostwick Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her children, grand and great-grandchildren and her dog Porky.
She is preceded in death by her dad, Lonnie Elmer Hall, mother, Elsie Idell Wilkinson Lewis, stepfather, Jay Walter Lewis, brothers, L.E. Hall, Carlis Hall, Howard Hall and Troy Hall, and sisters, Illene Cartledge and Maria Lloyd.
She is survived by her daughter, Julie Vaught (Chad) , brother, Jerry Hall, Sr. (Mary), sister, Ceretha Lord, sister-in-law, Jimmie Hall, grandchildren, Levi Vaught, Kaleigh Vaught, Hunter Vaught and Jordan Derossett, great-grandchildren, Clay Vaught, Emersyn Vaught and Brody Vaught and beloved fur baby, Porky.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 13, 2023, at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Bro. Tim Plymel officiating. Burial will follow in Bostwick Cemetery.
