Charlie Lee Bradbury, II, 70, of Palatka and formerly of Hastings, passed from this life on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at The Pavilion at Crescent Lake in Crescent City following an extended illness. He was born in Palatka and had lived in Putnam County for the past year. Charlie had previously lived in Hastings for more than 50 years and had worked as an owner and operator in the trucking industry. He honorably served in the U S Army and was of the Baptist faith. Charlie was a strong Christian and loved evangelizing to others while traveling the countryside.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Luke Bradbury and Myrtle Lenora Bradbury, brother, Luke Bradbury, Jr. and sister, Linda Givens.
He is survived by his sister, Nadine Loyd (Larry) of Macon, GA, nephews, Larry Loyd, Jr., and Teddy Bradbury, nieces, Sheryl Infantino (Michael), Kathy Wood (Larry), Valerie Bradbury and Tina McMillian as well as numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and other extended family members.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 25, 2022, at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Bro. Ricky Bybee officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill West Cemetery in Palatka. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday beginning at 10:30 am until time of services.
