Cody Justin Smith, 21, of Gainesville and formerly of Interlachen, passed from this life suddenly on Monday, May 1, 2023, from injuries sustained in an accident. He was born in Boca Raton, FL and had lived in Gainesville for the past year, coming from Interlachen. Cody had worked as a salesman for Gainesville Honda and was of the Christian faith. In his leisure time Cody had many hobbies and interests including gaming, computers, rebuilding vehicles and riding motorcycles.
He is survived by his mother, Wendy Nixon, maternal grandmother, Jeanne Chandler, paternal grandparents, Grant and Gaile Nixon and Mary Mosher and half-sister, Stephanie Smith. He is also survived by his beloved fur baby Milo.
Services celebrating Cody’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Bro. Ricky Bybee officiating.
