Obituary for Cynthia Lynn "Cindy" Rhodes

Cynthia Lynn “Cindy” Rhodes, a longtime resident of Palatka, was born in Augusta, GA to her proud parents Willie Ray Clayton, Sr. and Doris Dollie Clayton Hagan. She left this life and went home to be with her Lord and other precious family members on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 from her home in Palatka. Cindy grew up in Green Cove Springs and attended school in Clay County. Cindy enjoyed the outdoors and fishing and spending time with her family. One of her favorite places in the world was the Rodman Campground just outside Palatka where she spent many hours with her husband and family. Cindy was a homemaker and a wonderful wife and mother. She was a giver and really enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. Like her mother before her, she loved hummingbirds and she and her husband had just designed a new multi feeder that she could enjoy on her front porch.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Willie R. Clayton, Sr. and Doris Dollie Clayton Hagan and her twin boys, Ryan and Bryan Rhodes.
Cindy is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Elvis Rhodes, her three loving children, Elaina Rhodes along with Michele, Barbara Rhodes and Chris Rhodes, her four sisters, Brenda Trowbridge, Linda Jolley, Kim Lawley (Anthony), Beverly Hall (Jerry) and her brother, Bill Clayton (Cathy).
She is and will always be loved and missed by her family and friends.
