Obituary for Darlene Collins

Darlene Collins, 65, of Palatka, passed from this life on Sunday, October 16, 2022, at her home following an extended illness. She was born in Jacksonville and had moved to Putnam County in the early 1990’s coming from Jacksonville. Darlene had worked for more than 20 years as a data processor for St. Johns River Water Management District. She was a member of Moose Lodge #184. In her leisure time, Darlene enjoyed fishing in the Keys and in the St. Johns and was an avid Gator fan.
She is preceded in death by her parents, W. B. Warren and Alvenia Thomas Warren and brother, David Warren.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Trent Collins of Palatka, children, Ashley Salvatore (Joe) of North Carolina, Joshua Cooper (Tina) of Starke, 3 stepchildren, sisters, Joyce Davis (Wyman) of Sanderson, FL, Wanda Gad of Jacksonville, 6 grandchildren as well as 8 step-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, October 28, 2022, at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Joe Salvatore officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. until the time of service at 4:00 P.M.
