Delorise Alvis White, 87, of Palatka, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at her home following an extended illness. Born in Pavo, Georgia, she resided in Palatka since 1954 coming from Thomasville, Georgia. Delorise worked as a loan officer at Atlantic National Bank (First Union Bank) in Palatka and later served as branch manager at Citizens National Bank in East Palatka. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in San Mateo where she had been a leader with the Teens programs. In her leisure time, Delorise enjoyed ceramics and macrame.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Lee Alvis and Lola Rentz Alvis.
Delorise is survived by a daughter, Vicki Young (Keith Rigdon) of Palatka, a sister, Ann Tillman (Lamar) of Moultrie, GA, 2 grandchildren, Aaron Curtis (Marcella) and Amanda Pinner (Michael) as well as 6 great-grandchildren, Baylee Pinner, Brayden Pinner, Colton Pinner, R.J. Kimball, Aiden Curtis and Kinslee Curtis.
A visitation will be held from 6-8 P.M. on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka.
