Obituary for Dennis Harry Kanouse

Dennis Harry Kanouse, 64, of Hollister, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at his home following an extended illness. He was born in Gallipolis, OH and had been a resident of Putnam County since 1977. Dennis had worked as a carpenter for more than 40 years and had most recently worked in dock construction. He was a member of Grace Fellowship in Palatka. Dennis enjoyed playing sports, especially basketball and softball. He was an avid fan of the Florida Gators, Jacksonville Jaguars and Cincinnati Bengals.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernie and June Kanouse, and brothers, Jack and Steven Bates.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lydia Kanouse, children, Randall Lee Kanouse, Shane Matthew Kanouse (CherylLynn) and Legacy Ann Kanouse, brother, Timothy Kanouse (Annie), mother-in-law, Lennamae Parker, brothers-in-law, Gary Darling (Tanya Vincent) and Jerry Wayne Parker (Sandi Parker), grandchildren, Eleanore Buquo and Dixie Kanouse, as well as many nieces and nephews, Matthew and Aaron Kanouse, Shannon and Sonny Pitts, Corey and Odessa Thomas and Noah and Cameron Parker.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Interlachen ward with Bishop Andrew Geddes officiating and Pastor Sandra Gilyard speaking.
