Obituary for Donald Wayne Frazee

DONALD WAYNE FRAZEE passed away on Tuesday, December 29. He was born in Houston, Texas on January 14, 1939 to the late Donald B. Frazee of Houston and the late Lois Lanzer of Pomona Park. He was educated in the Houston Schools. After high school, Donald joined the Navy and was ultimately stationed at the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville. It was there that he met and married his wife of 61 years, Phyllis Register Frazee.
In late 1960 they moved to Houston where he worked as a welder. In 1972, 12 years and two children later, they returned to Florida and Putnam County where he worked as a welder and general contractor until his retirement in 2000.
Donald’s hobbies were golfing and travel. He was a member of Oaks Golf Course in Fruitland for many years. He and Phyllis enjoyed many trips, traveling to most of the states, including Hawaii and Alaska.
Donald was a member of First Baptist Church in Pomona Park.
Besides his wife, Phyllis he is survived by a son, Greg Frazee of Russellville, Arkansas; a daughter, Beverly (Lavon) McDaniel of Gainesville; seven grandchildren, Tyler, Lucas (Kara) and Nicolle Frazee of Arkansas, Logan McDaniel of Gainesville, and Paul, Brandon and Carrie McDaniel, all of Lake City. He is also survived by a brother, Mike Lanzer and a sister, Diane Lanzer-Ham both of Pomona Park. Surviving also are two special cousins, Jeannene Andrus and Janice Frank, both of Houston.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 9th followed by memorial services at First Baptist Church of Pomona Park with Pastor Gary Munson presiding. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to First Baptist Church of Pomona Park, P. O. Box 505, Pomona Park, Florida 32181.
