Donald Brian Johnson, 57, of San Mateo, passed from this life unexpectedly on Tuesday, June
6, 2023 at HCA Florida Putnam Hospital from natural causes. A native of Fort Pierce, Florida, he
resided in Putnam County since 1980 coming from Fort Pierce. Donald had co-owned and
operated Johnson’s Towing and Recovery since 2000. He was an avid fisherman and hunter,
passing his love of these to his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronnie Johnson, grandparents, James and Jean Davis
and a niece, Melissa Carter.
Donald is survived by his wife of 37 years, Jeanne Johnson, his children, Natalie DeLoach
(Cliff) and Nick Johnson (Hannah) and his grandchildren Hazel, Chandler and Baby Boy DeLoach
due in October 2023.
Services in celebration of Donald’s life will be at 4:00 P.M. Sunday, June 11, 2023 at the Expo
Hall at the Putnam County Fairgrounds with Danny DeLoach officiating. The family will receive
friends Sunday at the Expo Hall from 3:00 P.M. until the time of services at 4:00 P.M.
