Donna Louise Lasher Geiger, 86, of Interlachen, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022, at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center following an extended illness. She was a native of Jamestown, NY and had lived in Putnam County since 2003 coming from Chiefland. Donna served in the Women’s Army Corp for 2 years and was of the Baptist faith. She had worked as a clerk for the United States Postal Service for 7 years. Her hobbies included, reading, drawing, painting, and word search puzzles. Donna loved animals and enjoyed going out to eat.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Elige Geiger, Jr., parents, David and Margaret Lasher, and brother, Bryan Lasher.
She is survived by her children, Sarah Swim (Stephen), Anita Lee (Ronald “Mike”) both of Interlachen and Elige D. Geiger (Angie) of Palatka, sister, Linda Bray of West Virginia, brother, John Lasher (Claire) of Baltimore, MD, grandchildren, Margaret Lee Gross (Evan), Wesley Geiger, Brandon Geiger, and Kimberly McCullars, great-grandchildren, Mazur Manzanares, Maddox Manzanares, Xander Gross, Nicholas Manzanares, and Katherine McCullars, as well as numerous extended family members.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Christ Independent Methodist Church in Palatka with Rev. Amos Price officiating. Interment will be held at Florida National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
