Dorothy Irene Waldeck, 95, of East Palatka, passed from this life on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center following an extended illness. A native of Bradford, Pennsylvania, she resided in Putnam County since 1971 coming from Tonawanda, New York. Dorothy worked 18 years as a receptionist for Doctors Campbell, Weigel, O’Malley, Weaver and Melosh. She was also a member of St. James United Methodist Church and had volunteered with Haven Hospice for 25 years. In her leisure time, Dorothy enjoyed watching sports.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bernard Waldeck.
Dorothy is survived by a son, Daniel B. Waldeck and wife Katherine of Getzville, New York, 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Cryptside memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 15, 2021 at Palatka Memorial Gardens with Pastor Glenda Brayman officiating.
In lieu of flowers, it was Dorothy’s wish for donations to be sent to the Florida United Methodist Children’s Home, P.O. Box 4008, Enterprise, FL 32725 or to Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center, 6400 St. Johns Ave., Palatka, FL 32177.
