Obituary for Emogene McNulty

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts we share the passing of Emogene McNulty, 85, of Interlachen, Florida on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Putnam Community Medical Center in Palatka, Florida. Born in Pikeville, Kentucky, she resided in Interlachen, Florida after retiring from Bucyrus, Ohio. Emogene worked as a Laboratory Technician at several hospitals over the years including in Grundy, Virginia, Mansfield General Hospital in Mansfield, Ohio and retired from Bucyrus Community Hospital in Bucyrus, Ohio after many years of service. In her leisure time, Emogene was an avid reader, enjoyed cards, games, word puzzles, game shows and mysteries. She took pleasure in making “goodie bags” for others and keeping in touch with close friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Allen McNulty; her parents: Jim and Ethel Deskins; and seven siblings: Plennie Deskins, Ken Deskins, Denver Deskins, Homer Deskins, Teddy Deskins, Vesta Deskins, and Marilyn Compton.
Emogene is lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her devoted son, Jeff McNulty of Columbus, Ohio; four sisters: Jean Huffman of Dry Ridge, Kentucky, Hilda Williams of Cookeville, Tennessee, Claudette “Pat” Hunt of Barryton, Michigan, Shelia Marconi (Tony) of Greenville, South Carolina and her dear friend Nellie Beck Foster of Kauai, Hawaii.
Due to concerns with the Covid 19 virus, services and burial will be held privately for family and close friends.
Flowers are gratefully accepted or memorial donations may be sent to a favorite charity in her honor.
