Obituary for Evelyn Jean Sapp
Evelyn Jean Sapp, 72, of Satsuma, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center following a brief illness. She was born in Macon, GA and had been a lifelong resident of Putnam County. Evelyn was of the Baptist faith and had worked as a commercial crab trap builder for 32 years. She was happiest when spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy “Buddy” Sapp, son, Leroy Sapp, Jr. as well as her parents.
She is survived by her daughters, Sherry Bowen (Philip) and Tammy Bridges (Joseph), 2 brothers, 2 sisters, 3 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka on Thursday, September 22, 2022, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center, 6400 St. Johns Ave., Palatka, FL 32177.
