Franklin “Mart” Crabtree, Sr., 67, of San Mateo, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at The Pavilion at Crescent Lake in Crescent City following an extended illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Putnam County and had worked as a farmer. Mart was involved with high school rodeo and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved karaoke singing and was happiest when spending time with his family. Mart was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints.
He is preceded in death by his father, Franklin S. Crabtree, Jr. and grandson, Robbie Crabtree.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Phyllis Crabtree, sons, Mart Crabtree Jr., Carl Crabtree (Ashley), Travis Crabtree (Alyse) Ben Crabtree (Jana), daughter, Kathy Wilkinson (Jack), mother, Marlene Crabtree, siblings, Kirt Crabtree, Cindy Cleverley, and Clark Crabtree, 13 grandchildren as well as 6 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Bishop Jay Tilton conducting. Burial will follow in San Mateo Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 1:00 pm until time of services.
