Obituary for Franklin David Rogers

Franklin David “Frank” Rogers, 89, of Ft. McCoy, passed from this life on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center in Palatka. He was born in Plant City and was raised in Jacksonville. Frank had been a resident of Ft. McCoy since 1979 coming from Hawthorne. He was a graduate of Paxson High School in Jacksonville and proudly served in the U S Army during the Korean War. Frank later attended Mars Hill University where he studied accounting and had also worked as a truck driver for 44 years. He was a member of the American Legion in Jacksonville and in his leisure time enjoyed fishing. Frank was also a member of Dunham Woods Baptist Church in Hollister.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy J. Rogers, daughter, Dianna Brooks and parents, Sam and Allie Rogers, 7 siblings, and grandson, C.J. Rogers.
He is survived by his children, Dale Rogers (Carolyn) of Hollister, Darrell Rogers of Ft. McCoy, Franklin D. Rogers, Jr. (Gail) of St. Petersburg and Deanna Daniels (Larry) of Ft. McCoy, brother, Leonard Rogers of South Carolina, sister, Betty Lee of Minnesota, 13 grandchildren as well as 16 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Dunham Woods Baptist Church in Hollister with Pastor Dale Rogers and Dr. L.D. Osteen officiating.
