Obituary for Gary Eugene Railing
Gary E. Railing, 71, of Interlachen, passed from this life on Monday, August 21, 2023, at his home following an extended illness.
Gary was a devoted father and husband of 47 years, predeceased by his wife Marie a month ago. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending time on his airboat riding the Ocklawaha and fishing in Steinhatchee. He had a special relationship with his grandsons and spending time with them brought him great joy. He had an admirable work ethic and was employed for 38 years for AT&T as a lineman. He passed from this world on August 21, 2023, at the age of 71 after a battle with leukemia. He will be missed greatly.
Gary is survived by his son Chris (Leann), daughter Valerie, grandsons Gunner and Sawyer, and several nieces and nephews.
In honor of his wishes, no service is planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be sent to: Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center, 6400 St. Johns Avenue, Palatka, FL 32177.
Arrangements are entrusted to Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Interlachen.
