Geraldine Louise Powell, known as Gerri, was a resident of Palatka, FL. Gerri went home to the Lord on Saturday, June 3, 2023. She retired from Seminole Electric after 20 years of working as an Engineering Assistant. She was married to the love of her life, Doyle Powell in 1981 in LaBelle, FL. Gerri and Doyle enjoyed cruising, and loved new adventures traveling all areas of the U.S. They both loved animals and all their kitty cats, that gave Gerri much enjoyment.

Gerri is preceded in death by her daughter, Rosalie Altersberger and parents, Fred Brown and Ina Norris.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Doyle Powell, children, Mitzi Altersberger (Ed Gonzales) and Victor Altersberger (Gloria), stepchildren, Tammy Ringdahl (Walter), Timothy Powell, Alan Powell and Cody Powell, and granddaughter, Frankie Darlene Kirk.
Services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Bro. Joey Floyd officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, June 8, 2023 between 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
