Gloria H. Barton, 89, of Palatka, passed from this life on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at her home following an extended illness. She was a native of Charleston, SC and had lived in Putnam County since 1981. Gloria had attended Grace Community Baptist Church and trusted the Lord as her savior. She had worked as a bookkeeper for Lowe’s since their opening in Palatka. Gloria was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles. She was an extreme giver to her family and never came for a visit empty handed.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Marion Barton, parents, Charles and Odie Powers, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
She is survived by children, Yvonne Welch (Hank), Howard Haskell, Jr., Karen Haskell Radcliff (Victor), and Stacia Hills (Charles), daughter-in-love, Tammy Haskell, grandchildren, Justin Welch (Lindsay), Colleen Lane (Matthew), Kellie Mixon (Shane), Kalyn Mixon (Dustin), Delvin Haskell, Faith Gist (Mickey), and Chase Hills, and 15 great-grandchildren.
