Obituary for Helen I. Brown
Helen I. Brown, 84, of Palatka, passed from this life on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Magnolia Ridge Rehabilitation Center in Gainesville. A native of Hawthorne, Florida, she resided in Palatka for many years. Helen was a homemaker and had been a long-time member of Southside Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl J. Brown, her siblings, James Pearson, Fred Pearson and Ruby Teaton and a grandson, Frankie Faith.
Helen is survived by 2 sons, Carl J. “Red” Brown, III and Robert Greg Faith, a daughter, Ginger Brown, a brother, Colon Pearson and 4 grandchildren.
Services in celebration of Helen’s life will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Pastor Shaun Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
