Helen Skillen, 91, of Crescent City, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 from injuries received in an accident. She was a native of Wick Haven, PA and had lived in Crescent City since 2007 coming from Orlando. Helen had worked as an administrative assistant for IBM and retired after 35 years of service. She also worked for Disney and Universal Studios between 1989 – 2007. Helen enjoyed playing cards, tennis, photographing her family and in later years took an interest in astrology.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Anna Matola and siblings, George, Frank, Anna Mae, Mike, John, Steve, Anne, Margaret, Jack and Mary.
She is survived by her sisters, Elizabeth Korba and Pauline Matola as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, January 9, 2023, at St. John’s Catholic Chapel in Crescent City on Main St. with Father Jim May as celebrant.
