Howard C. Bray, 83, of Interlachen, passed from this life on Friday, December 9, 2022 at HCA Florida Putnam Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Harlan, Kentucky, he lived in Williamsburg, Kentucky from 1974-1985 before moving to Interlachen in 1985 from Williamsburg, KY. Howard had worked as a drag line operator with Bedrock Resources.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Condy and Revena Bray, 2 brothers, Condy Bray, Jr. and Jay Bennett, 2 sisters, Henrietta Irvin and Bernice Bennett and a grandson, Scott Bradley Bray.
Howard is survived by his wife of 67 years, Betty Jo “Jolene” Bray of Interlachen, his children, Howard Scott Bray of Williamsburg, KY, Pennie Pinkston (Billy) of Macclenny, Danny Bray of Macclenny and Ruth Bray of Corbin, KY, 4 grandchildren, Nicholas Sweat (Amber), Joseph Lawson, Gary Lawson and Sue McCully, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
