James E. Jacobs, Jr., 54, of Satsuma, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022, at Community Hospice Bailey Center for Caring in St. Augustine following an extended illness. He was born in Jacksonville, FL and had been a lifelong resident of Putnam County. James had worked as a foreman in the utility construction industry and loved working. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and especially loved spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Helen Jacobs and brother, Albert Jacobs.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Angela Jacobs, children, Casey Kirk (Jessica), Zachary Chesser, Jennifer Jacobs (David), Brittany Hill and Danielle Kirk (Chris), brother, Jimmy Jacobs as well as 5 grandchildren, Collin, Brayden, Addisyn, Ely and Faith.
Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Bro. Willie McKinnon, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill West Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 2:00 pm until time of services.
