My earliest memories of Jimmy are from a very early age, Probably 3 years old. I thought he was the coolest guy I had ever met.
I had 5 brothers and 5 sisters and they all felt the same way. Especially my sister Margaret who married him.
He was my hero. Big muscles, cool tattoo of a parrot, cigarette pack rolled up in his shirt sleeve, Cool car( '51 Lincoln), outstanding athlete (use to watch him play softball on his company team), could fix just about anything, was a great fisherman and hunter.
He was always there, for any of the family when needed, or anyone else for that matter.
He treated me better than a brother-in-law.
Even called me son sometimes there at the end. He was my sixth brother from a different mother, and will miss him so much.
Though all of this is true, just like all of us, he was not perfect.
We use to talk about the Lord together and I know in my heart that he is with Jesus right now. I don't know what that will be like, but I am certainly looking forward to see Jimmy as soon as I get there.
It is said that you can't choose your family, and I know that is true, but if I would have had a choice for a Dad, Jim Weaver would have been mine. I Love You,Gary Jenkins

Uncle Jimmy you will be so missed by us all. You were a steadfast fixture in the family and mom always said, you weren't her brother-in-law - you were a brother. I'm glad Ronda and I were able to visit you a couple of times in the past few years. Always met with a smile and a big hug. Rest in Peace. We love you! Angela Dossett Twomey Royal Palm Beach Florida.
