Obituary for Janis Kay Stuckey

Janis Kay Stuckey, 74, of Orange Park, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 27, 2022 following a battle with cancer. She enjoyed fishing, sewing and spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren. She retired as a lieutenant from the Clay County Fire and Rescue after 19 years of service where she was known by many as “Mom”.
She is survived by her fiancée, Michael Sible, her daughter, Kim East (Glenn), her sister, Debbie Corson, her grandkids, Matthew East, Justin East (Katherine) and Dylan East and her great-grandchildren, Mason and Emilynn. Her mother Jennie and father Albert were waiting for her at the gates of heaven.
Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Russell Baptist Church. A graveside service will follow immediately at Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in Janis’s memory to either Haven Hospice or to the Donna Deegan Foundation.
Memories and condolences may be expressed to the family at Janis’s Book of Memories page at www.johnsonoverturffunerals.com.
