Obituary for Jason Anthony Shepherd

Jason Anthony Shepherd, 39, of Satsuma, passed from this life unexpectedly from natural causes on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at HCA Florida Putnam Hospital. He was born in Orlando, but was a native of Putnam County. Jason worked at Georgia Pacific as a rollator driver and had also traveled the country in commercial roofing for over 10 years. In his leisure time, Jason enjoyed woodworking, drawing, tattooing and collecting and shooting guns. He also enjoyed hanging out with his family and friends.
Jason is survived by his mother, Denise Zeagler (Steve Gage) of Rapid River, MI, his father, William L. Comuzie of Keystone Heights, his grandmother, Rose Marie Owens (Duane) of San Mateo, a brother, Neil Reidenbaugh (Rachel) of Pomona Park, 2 sisters, Amy Shepherd of Crescent City and Jennifer Shepherd of Fleming Island, 2 nephews, Casen Tootle and Kenneth Webb, III and expecting another nephew soon, Nolan Reidenbaugh, aunt and uncle, Christine Laney (Doug) of High Springs, other extended family and friends as close as family including Cody Tootle of Palatka and Charles Waldrep and Jesse Caplinger both of Satsuma.
Services celebrating Jason’s life will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Pastor Kenneth Webb, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Eden Cemetery in Crescent City. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of services at 2:00 P.M.
