Jerry Finch, 70, of Ocala and formerly of Hollister, passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at his home following complications from a fall. He was a native of Statesboro, GA. Jerry loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great-grandson. Jerry also loved to visit his son and daughter-in-law and watch Georgia Bulldog football and rock his sweet grandson, Caleb. He likewise enjoyed spending time with his daughter Amy and Ashton at the tire shop and especially loved visits in their home gathered around the fireplace.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lila Finch Creech and John Daniel Finch and brother, John Daniel Finch all of Portal, GA.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Cathy Finch, son, Jeff Finch (Jessica), daughter, Amy Finch (Ashton), stepfather, Joe Creech of Portal, GA, grandchildren, Brittany Sheridan of South Dakota, Hailey Sheridan (Dalton) of Ocala, FL, Jacob and Caleb Finch of Grandin, FL, great-grandson, Grayson Bostick of Ocala, a great-granddaughter due in November, as well as many other family members, friends and in-laws.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Rev. Chris White officiating.
