Jessie Nell Mercer Faulk, 90, of Palatka, passed from this life on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Solaris Healthcare Palatka following an extended illness. She was a native of Pearson, Georgia and had lived in Putnam County since 1958. Jessie loved going to church and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She enjoyed canning, crocheting, and crafts.
She is preceded in death by husbands, Alton Mercer and Jessie Louis Faulk, brothers, S. A. Summerlin, William Henry Summerlin, W. R. Summerlin and Julian Summerlin, and sister, Opal Hughes.
Jessie is survived by son, Johnny Mercer, Sr. (Sherri) of Palatka, daughter, Marilyn Wilkinson of Palatka, grandchildren, Johnny Mercer, Jr. (Julie), and Brandy Caison (Dustin), and great-grandchildren, Wesley Mercer, Emily Mercer, Chandler Caison and Turner Caison.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Oak Hill West Cemetery in Palatka with Pastor Glenn Tillis officiating. No public visitation is scheduled.
