Jorge Luis Perez, 67, of Palatka, passed from this life on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at HCA Florida Putnam Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Lares, Puerto Rico, he resided in Putnam County for 25 years moving here from Philadelphia, PA. Jorge had worked as a mechanic with Floyd’s Garage in Interlachen. He had previously worked in factories in Connecticut. Jorge was a car enthusiast and enjoyed car shows and dirt track racing. He was also an Elvis fan.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nilda Perez Quiles.
Jorge is survived by his father, Jorge Perez of Hollister, a daughter, Jeannie Lombardi of Waterboro, CT, a son, Wayne Perez of Oakville, CT, 2 brothers, Victor Perez (Tabetha) of Interlachen and Nehemiah Perez of Hollister, 3 sisters, Nellie Arroyo of Philadelphia, Regina Alberte (Fidel) of Derby, CT and Marisol Perez of Palatka and numerous nieces and nephews.
