Kenneth W. “Kenny” Gunter, 59, of Interlachen, passed from this life on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Putnam Community Medical Center following a brief illness. A native and lifelong resident of Putnam County, Kenny was a 1980 graduate of Palatka High School. Affectionately known as “Coogs” by family and friends, Kenny had been a truck driver and last drove with Gregory Chapman. In his leisure time, “Coogs” enjoyed fishing, swimming, surfing and spending time at the beach.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Wendy Gunter.
Kenny is survived by his mother, Sandra Gunter of Interlachen, his father, Kenneth D. Gunter of Palatka, a daughter, Paige Gunter, a son, Garrett Gunter, both of Palatka, a sister, Tonya Gunter (Jamie Largacci) of Palatka, a granddaughter, Gracelyn “Gracie” Garner, an aunt, Pat Schwarz of Palatka, a niece, Whitney James, a nephew, Gatlin Fussell, numerous cousins and a special friend, Mary Gibbens of Orange Park.
