Obituary for Kimberly Stone Miller

Kimberly Stone Miller, 49, of East Palatka, passed away in San Mateo on Monday, July 27, 2020 from injuries received in an automobile accident. A native and lifelong resident of Palatka, Kimberly was a 1988 graduate of Palatka High School. After receiving her bachelor’s degree, Kimberly began teaching at Miller Intermediate School and then transferred to Mellon Elementary School in Palatka and later at Middleton Burney Elementary School. She had been employed with the Putnam County School District for 7 years. Kimberly was a member of the Alpha Delta Kappa Gamma teacher’s Sorority and as well as St. Monica Catholic Church in Palatka. In her leisure time, Kimberly enjoyed reading and was a very good cook.
She was preceded in death by her father, Steven Randall Stone.
Kimberly is survived by her children, John W. Miller, III and Harley Stone Miller, both of Palatka, her mother, Carolyn Stone Rhodes and husband Fred of East Palatka, the father of her children, John W. Miller, Jr. of Palatka and numerous nieces and nephews.
A public visitation will be held from 5-7 P.M. on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka.
The family will have a private Mass at a later time.
Due to the Covid 19 virus, those attending the visitation will be required to wear a mask and practice social distancing guidelines.
