Larry O. “Boots” Walton, Jr., 52, of Deland and formerly of Crescent City, passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021 at AdventHealth Deland Hospice Care of East Florida following a brief illness. He was a native of Deland, FL and lived in Volusia County since 2013 coming from Crescent City. Boots had worked in the medical supply manufacturing industry and was of the Baptist faith. In his leisure time, Boots enjoyed fishing, playing cards and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Karen Walton of Deland, daughters, Miranda Corley (Brett) of Palatka and Karey Alicea (Hector) of Deltona, siblings, Philip Thomas and Katrina Flint, both of Georgia, Frank Schultz and Thomas Walton, both of South Carolina as well as 3 grandchildren, Logan, Sadie and Abigail Corley.
A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 5:00 pm.
