Laura Jean “Jeanie” Crawford, 93, of Bostwick, passed from this life on Friday, March 10, 2023 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center following an extended illness. She was a native of Mayo, FL and had lived in Putnam County since 1989 coming from Jacksonville, FL. Jeanie was a member of Bostwick Baptist Church where she served as secretary for 18 years. She had also worked for Midstate Steel & Wire for 12 years and was a realtor for Century 21 for many years. Jeanie enjoyed living on the river and shrimping off the dock with family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Virgil R. “Bob” Crawford, parents, Lester and Martha Lane Summersill, brother, Vernon L. Summersill, Sr. (Kathleen), and sister, Irma Lou Summersill Smith (Smitty).
She is survived by nieces, Martha Summersill Foureau (Claude), and Martha Smith Mann (Barney), nephews, Ben F. Smith, III (Nancy) and David N. Summersill (Melissa) along with many great nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Bostwick Baptist Church with Bro. David Eddins officiating. A private burial will be held in Riverside Memorial Park in Jacksonville. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday beginning at 10:00 am until time of services.
