Obituary for Leona Blackwelder "Leo" Cloer

Leona B. “Lee” Cloer, 88, of Palatka, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Solaris Healthcare Palatka following an extended illness. Born in Jasper, FL she resided in Putnam County since 1940. She had worked as a retail clerk for Wal-Mart for 32 years. Lee was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, cooking, sewing and loving everyone. She also competed in many turkey shoots.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Theodore Cloer, her parents, John and Nettie Blackwelder, grandchildren, Colby Crowley and Jason Grinage and siblings, John Blackwelder, Jr., Artis Blackwelder, R.J. Blackwelder, and Viola Wiley.
Lee is survived by her children, Rodger Cloer of Jacksonville, Danny Cloer of Jacksonville, Rose Grinage (Leo) of Vermontville, MI, Cathy Stephens (Hugh) of Palatka and Deborah Crowley of Palatka, sister, Beatrice Phiel of Palatka, and brother, Rocky Blackwelder of Douglas, GA, 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at Pellicer Creek Cemetery with Bro. Willie B. McKinnon, III officiating. No public visitation is scheduled. Due to COVID-19, those in attendance are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
