Loretta W. “Lorie” Tower, 83, of Satsuma, passed from this life on Monday, July 27, 2020 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center following an extended illness. She was a native of Camden, North Carolina and had lived in Putnam County since 1984 coming from Walterboro, South Carolina. She had worked as a technician on aircraft computers and was an excellent machinist. She was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church. Lorie had served as chaplain for the Ladies Auxiliary and was a charter member of the Moose Lodge. In her leisure time, she loved feeding wild animals and traveling in her motorhome.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Gerald L. Tower, children, Cindy (Ken) Barta of Harper’s Ferry, Iowa and Rick Tower of Denver, North Carolina, sister, Marvourleen (Dodson) Mathias, sister-in-law, Betty Winslow, grandchildren Andrea and Joe, and 2 great-grandchildren, Regan and McKennan, along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her mother and father-in-law, and her wonderful brother Doug.
