Obituary for Madonna Lea Cooper

Madonna Lea Cooper, 60, of Palatka, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center following a brief illness. She was born in the town of Placentia in the province of Newfoundland, Canada and had been a lifelong resident of Putnam County. Madonna was primarily a homemaker, but had also worked for various local businesses and was proud to have worked for Hospice for 3 years. She was a member of the Crescent City Moose Lodge #164 and was of the Catholic faith. Madonna was a very spiritual person and had a strong belief in the afterlife, and connecting with loved ones who have crossed over.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Tilghman, brothers, Thomas "Tommy" Tilghman and Michael Tilghman, and granddaughter, Kadence Branam.
She is survived by loving husband of 18yrs, Orrin M. Cooper & their mini-Poodle, Axel Cooper, daughters, Stacie Branam (Russ), and Victoria Savoie (Trevor), sons, Britt Roden (Jessica), Aaron Jones, and Orrin Cooper (Jessica), grandchildren, Cayla Hutchinson (Nic), Cylei Hutchinson, Brylea, Evelea (Evie) & Ellie Branam, Aubree & Hunter Roden, Kya Kriser, Star Sifontes, Trinity & Alyah Savoie, Gavin & Blake Cooper as well as numerous nieces, nephews, a great-niece (Ava) and other extended family members. She also had several friends whom she cherished.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Private burial will be held at Oak Hill West Cemetery.
Flowers are gratefully accepted or memorial donations may be made to breast cancer or M.S. research.
